1886 Erkner - 1973 Hamburg - Hafen - Aquarell/Papier. 36 x 44 cm (Passepartoutausschnitt). Sign. l. u.: Ivo Hauptmann. Dat. r. u.: 1955. Passepartout. Unter Glas gerahmt. Leichter Einriss am oberen Rand. Leicht gebräunt. Ivo Hauptmann war Schüler von Lovis Corinth in Berlin und Ludwig von Hofmann in Weimar. Im Jahr 1903 unternahm er seine erste Reise nach Paris, dort kam es zur Begegnung mit Signac. Er war Schüler der "Academie Julian". Von 1928 bis 1933 hatte er den Vorsitz der Hamburger Sezession inne.
