Jade plaque ‘Elder and child’ with Zhiting mark, Qing dynasty
A finely carved jade plaque, smooth and milky with subtle reddish flecks. It is rectangular, with a cut-out profile and rounded corners. It is decorated on one side with a small scene in the countryside, where an old man and a small boy watch a pair of ducks under the shade of a tree. The reverse shows a long poem accompanied by the signature (芝亭). It has age patina. Custom-made box enclosed.
