Bronze figure ‘Turtles’, Tang Dynasty
Golden bronze with slight reddish stains. It shows the image of two turtles, one larger, on whose shell is placed a smaller one. Both stand with their legs extended, ending in sharp claws, and have a robust body covered by a carapace with pentagonal patterns. They face forward, with their heads raised and large eyes open. Tang Dynasty (618-906) or later.
