At the top of the title page appears in Rabbi Zundel of Salant’s handwriting. “Copy belonging to Rabbi Maggid LeMedrash Menachem Tzion.

Rabbi Zundel served as the Gabbai of the famed Churva synagogue ‘Menachem Zion’. He therefore noted down at the front of the book, its provenance. His handwriting declares that it belonged to Rabbi Maggid Rivlin, who merited seeing the Vilna Gaon. Rabbi Maggid who immigrated to the Holy Land was a disciple of Rabbi Yitzchak of Volozhin.

Stamps of ‘The Churva’ synagogue appear in the book.
